Jedidiah, you have one of the most adorable smiles ever. Of course Mama and Papa think it's the cutest one there is. You have been smiling since your second day of life, but this last week (beginning of August 2012) marks a new kind of smiling. Whereas before you would smile in contentment, now you smile in joy. You smile when we are talking with you, tickling you, or laughing with you. It has been so much fun to share in this joy with you. Your little personality is starting to shine through. You love listening to stories and music. You like going outside and watching the birds and hearing their songs. One of your favorite things from the very beginning has been piano music. You used to calm right down when Grandma would play for you.
Our prayer is that the joy of the Lord will dwell deep within your soul! We love your little smiles and giggles and pray that it is just a picture of the joy you will have as you grow to trust in God and give your life to Him. For it is not this first birth that brings true joy but the second birth into God's family.
